<br />80 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1974 - 61 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING <br />THE CLASSIFICATION OF ALL POLICEMEN AND FIREMEN, THE NUMBER <br />OF POSITIONS OF EACH CLASSIFICATION, AND THE SALARY AND STEPS <br />FOR EACH CLASSIFICATION. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, is required by Section 8, Article l269m, <br /> <br />Revised Civil Statutes of Texas (1925) to establish job classifications, the <br /> <br />number of positions in each classification, and salary rates; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That there be, and there is hereby established a new section in <br /> <br />Chapter 2, Article III, Division 1 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of <br /> <br />San Marcos, Texas, numbered 2-31 and entitled "Job Classification and Salary" <br /> <br />so as to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2-31. Job Classification and Salary. <br /> <br />Pursuant to Section 8, Article l269m, Revised <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Civil Statutes of Texas (1925), now, and as herein- <br /> <br />after amended, the following job classifications, number of <br /> <br />positions in each classification, and respective <br /> <br />salary schedules shall be implemented into the Police <br /> <br />and Fire Departments of the City of San Marcos. <br /> <br />I <br />
