<br />94 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1974 - 66 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT <br />CERTAIN ORDINANCE WHICH ESTABLISHES THE CLASSIFICATION OF <br />ALL POLICEMEN AND FIREMEN, THE NUMBER OF POSITIONS OF EACH <br />CLASSIFICATION, AND THE SALARY IN STEPS FOR EACH CLASSIFICATION, <br />BY AMENDING THAT SECTION NUMBERED 2-31 ENTITLED "JOB CLASSIFICATION <br />AND SALARY" SO AS TO CHANGE THE NUMBER OF AUTHORIZED POSITIONS FOR <br />FIRE TRAINEE AND FIREFIGHTER FROM 25 IN NUMBER TO 24 IN NUMBER. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, has previously passed on first reading <br /> <br />an Ordinance establishing the classification of all policemen and firemen, <br /> <br />the number of positions of each classification, and the salary in steps for <br /> <br />each classification; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos now wishes to reduce the <br /> <br />number of authorized fire trainees and firefighters from 25 to 24 in number; <br /> <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That that certain ordinance establishing the classification of all <br /> <br />policemen and firemen, the number of positions of each classification, and the <br /> <br />salary in steps for each classification numbered Section 2-31, and entitled <br /> <br />I "Job Classification and Salary" be, and is hereby, in all things amended so as to <br /> <br />change the number of authorized positions in the classification of fire trainee <br /> <br />and firefighter from 25 to 24 in number. <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
