<br />44 <br /> <br />regular meeting, december 17, 1974 <br /> <br />page two <br /> <br /> AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Dibrell , Etheredge, Flores, <br /> King, Tauch <br /> NAY: None <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE II, ENTITLED "DANCE AND DANCE <br />HALLS", CHAPTER 22, ENTITLED "PUBLIC AMUSEMENTS" OF THE CODE <br />OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, THE SAME <br />BEING SECTIONS 22-16 TO 22-31 INCLUSIVE OF SAID CODE; AND <br />ADDING A NEW ARTICLE II, ENTITLED "DANCES AND DANCE HALLS", <br />CHAPTER 22 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF DANCE PERMITS, ESTABLISHING <br />CRITERIA FOR THE ISSUANCE OF SAID PERMITS, AND SETTING FEES FOR <br />SUCH ISSUANCE OF SAID PERMITS. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. DeLa Rosa moved the Ordinance be approved on third reading. <br />Mr. Cunningham seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote <br />was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Dibrell, Etheredge, Flores, <br />King, Tauch <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />The Mayor read in full a Resolution setting aside approximately $120.00 <br />to provide funds for the Police Technical Equipment Project (see attached). <br />The City Manager reported that the funds had been included in the <br />1973-74 Budget. Mr. Dibrell moved the Resolution be Passed and Approved. <br />Mr. DeLa Rosa seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Jack N. Stovall came before the Council to report on the activities <br />of the Bicentennial Commission. No action was taken. <br /> <br />The City Manager reported that Chaney Construction would be working during <br />the week on Street Improvement Project l-A. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Councilman King moved the salary of the City Secretary be increased by <br />$150.00 per month" effectively immediately.
