<br />r <br /> <br />(c) The city shall collect, or cause to be collected, <br />garbage from al I premises used for residential purposes twice <br />weekly during the entire year. <br /> <br />(d) Trash ~nd brush wil I be picked up once per week <br />without additional charge if the city is notified of the~ <br />necessity for such pickup. However, if any citizen desires <br />the city to remove any tree, tree I imb or branch, the citizen <br />shall first cut al I trees, branches and I imbs into lengths not <br />in excess of four (4) feet and that weigh not in excess of <br />seventy-five (75) pounds. The trees, branches and/or limbs <br />shall be placed as near the street or servicable alley as <br />possible. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />III. <br /> <br />That the present Section 12-10 of the Code of Ordinances of <br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, be amended so that said <br />,section shal I henceforth read as follows: <br /> <br />SECT,ION 12-1'0,;, Disp'osal of small dead animals. <br /> <br />Small dead animals shall not be placed in garbage cans. <br />Upon notice, the city wil I make, or cause to be made, special <br />collections in the case of smal I dead animals. Such dead <br />animals shal I be placed in a plastic bag and suitably sealed <br />to prevent fl ies or contribute to other health hazards. <br /> <br />IV. <br /> <br />That the present Jection 12-12 of the Code of Ordinances of <br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, be deleted and an entirely new <br />section under the same number be substituted therefor, so that <br />said section shal I henceforth read as fol lows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />SECTION 12-12. Private garbage collection--Removal and <br />disposal generally. <br /> <br />(a) ~ny person, firm, corporation, or agent, other than <br />authorized city employees, engaged in the removal of garbage <br />or trash from premises, other than his own, within the City <br />limits, shal I, before engaging in such work, obtain a permit <br />to do so from the Tax ~ssessor-Col lector of the City of <br />San Marcos. <br /> <br />(b) ~ppl ication shal I be made at the office of the Tax <br />~ssessor-Col lector and, upon presentation of evidence that the <br />appl icant is covered by I iabil ity insurance with minimum limits <br />of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for property damage, Ten <br />Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for personal injury to each <br />person, and Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) for each <br />accident or occurrence, and a fee of Two Hundred and Fifty <br />Dollars ($250.00), the permit will be issued. <br /> <br />(c) The permit will be effective for the calendar year <br />or any part thereof. The person to whom a City of San Marcos <br />Trash and Garbage Hauler permit is issued shall have the <br />permit number displayed upon each vehicle so registered, to <br />facil itate identification of the said vehicle. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />(d) ~ny vehicle ~sed in the removal of trash or garbage <br />from premises other than his own within the City I imits of the <br />City of San Marcos shall be of the closed body refuse haul ing <br />
