<br />I <br /> <br />I <br />II <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />2~ <br /> <br />ORDER FOR SPECIAL ELECTION FOR <br /> <br />RUN-OFF FOR COUNCILMAN, PLACE 6 <br /> <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS X <br />THE COUNTY OF HAYS X <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS X <br /> <br />On this, the 4th day of April, 1973, the City Council of the <br />City of San Marcos of Hays county, Texas, convened in recessed <br />regular session at the regular meeting place at City Hall in <br />said City, with the following members, to-wit: <br /> <br />Luciano H. Flores, Mayor <br /> <br />William L. Cunningham <br />Councilman <br /> <br />Eddy A. Etheredge <br />Councilman <br /> <br />Ross King <br />Councilman <br /> <br />David R. Tauch <br />Councilman <br /> <br />Herbert A. Yarbrough <br />Councilman <br /> <br />and Dorothy O. Worrell <br />City Secretary <br /> <br />being present; and Guillermo DeLa Rosa, Councilman, being absent; <br /> <br />and among other proceedings had by said Council was the following: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, no candidate for Place 6 in the City Officer Election <br />neld April j, 1973, received a majority of the total vote, as <br />required by Sec. 5.05 of the Charter of the City of San Marcos; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the two candidates receiving the largest number of <br />votes were Bill Dibrell and Herbert A. Yarbrough, jr.: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS: <br /> <br />That a run-off election be held in said City on the 1st day of May, <br />1973, to determine the winning candidate in Place 6. <br /> <br />t. <br /> <br />Said election shall be held at the following placed in said County <br />and the following named persons are hereby appointed as Presiding <br />Judges for said Election: <br /> <br />In Election Precinct No.6, at Guadalupe Hall in said City, <br />with Mrs. J.T. Avila as Presiding Judge, and said Presiding <br />Judge shall appoint the necessary clerks to assist her which <br />shall not exceed four (4) clerks. <br /> <br />In Election Precinct No.8, at American Legion Hall, in said <br />City, with Leonard Fielder as Presiding Judge, and said Presiding <br />Judge shall appoint the necessary clerks to assist him which <br />shall not exceed four (4) clerks. <br /> <br />In Election Precinct No. 10, at Masonic Temple, in said City, <br />with Mrs. Jack Wood as Presiding Judge, and said Presiding <br />Judge shall appoint the necessary clerks to assist her which <br />shall not exceed four (4) clerks. <br /> <br />In Election Precinct No. 11, at Dunbar Community Center, in <br />said City, with Yancy Yarbrough as Presiding Judge, and said <br />Presiding Judge shall appoint the necessary clerks to assist <br />him which shall not exceed four (4) clerks. <br />
