We wish to sub- <br />mit the following request far revenue sharing funds far the ambulance <br />service aperation: <br /> <br />1. Funds to replace the International Travall, an original <br />vehicle, 1969 madel year. <br /> <br />2. The specifications far the replacement vehicle to meet <br />the prapased federal regulation for emergency vehicles: <br />minimum headroom, 54" -- 60" preferred and 71" width. <br /> <br />3. Estimated cost for such a vehicle -- $9,000. This amount <br />to be paid equally by the city and county. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The contract specifically states that the vehicles are not to be older <br />than five years. Experience is demonstrating that the emergency ambu- <br />lance vehicles do not last this long. We purchased a Chevrolet in July, <br />1972, and as af this month, the vehicle has 18,000 miles. <br /> <br />.'A SEVENTH- DAY ADVENTIST INSTITUTION" <br />
