<br />AN ORDINANCE DEDICATING CERTAIN
<br />REAL PROPERTY, TITLE TO WHICH IS
<br />PRESENTLY VESTED IN THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FOR PARK AND
<br />RECREATIONAL RELATED ACTIVITIES.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, certain real property, namely, portions of Farm Lots Nos. Eleven
<br />(11) and Twelve (12), as hereinafter described by metes and bounds, was conveyed
<br />to the City of San Marcos, Texas, by deed from the San Marcos Consolidated
<br />Independent School District, dated the 30th day of April, 1973, and recorded in
<br />Vo 1 ume ~, pages 649-650 , Hays County Deed Records; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Courtney D. Marshall most generously donated the con-
<br />sideration required for the purchase of said real property; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, both the said Mr. and Mrs. Courtney D. Marshall and the Board of
<br />Trustees of said School District desire that said real property be permanently
<br />used for park and recreational related activities of the general public;
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />That the following described real property be, and it is hereby, permanently
<br />and irrevocably dedicated for park and recreational related activities of the
<br />generai publ ic: All of that certain lot, tract or parcel of land being a part
<br />of Farm Lots Nos. Eleven (11) and Twelve (12) according to the original plat of
<br />the town of San Marcos, in Hays County, Texas, and being the same property convey-
<br />e by deed dated June 22, 1913, from G. W. Donalson and wife, to Ed J. L. Green,
<br />e aI, School Trustees, which deed is recorded in Volume 73, page 234, Hays County
<br />D ed Records, wherein said property is described by metes and bounds as follows:

<br />B GINNING at a point for the corner inthe N. E. boundary 1 ine of the said land
<br />p rchased by G. W. Donalson from J. R. Scates and wife, by deed dated September
<br />4 1882, and recorded in Volume P, page 504, Deed Records of Hays County, Texas
<br />( aid 1 ine being the dividing line between the land so purchased by G. W. Donalson
<br />and what is known as the Breeding Addition to the town of San Marcos, Texas) and
<br />which said beginning corner is 150 feet S. 45 E. from the intersection of said line
<br />with the S. E. boundary line of Coma I Street;
<br />
<br />THENCE, S. 45 W. parallel with and 150 feet from the S, E. boundary line of said
<br />Coma 1 Street, 544 feet, more or less, to a point for corner in a tributary of
<br />Purgatory Creek;
<br />
<br />THENCE, S. 70 E. 350 feet, more or 1 ess, to a point for corner in, and fu rthe r
<br />down in said tributary of Purgatory Creek;
<br />THENCE, N. 66 E. 425 feet, more or 1 ess, to a point in said Purgatory Creek;
<br />THENC E, N. 45 W. 475 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
