• In this division: <br />Altered or alteration means any change, modification or transformation. <br />Department means the city environmental health department. <br />Design criteria means the latest edition or supplement to the "Design Criteria for <br />On-site Sewage Facilities" promulgated by the TCEQ. <br />Modification means any change or increase in the size or use of an on-site sewage <br />facility. <br />On-site sewage facilitv means a septic tank, pit privy, cesspool, sewage holding <br />tank injection well used to dispose of sewage, chemical toilet and any other system, <br />facility or method used for the disposal of sewage other than a sewage disposal system <br />operated under a permit issued by the TCEQ. <br />Organized system means a sewage disposal system operated under a permit issued <br />by the TCEQ. <br />On-site sewage facility rules or the rules includes the design criteria and the <br />latest edition or supplement to the TCEQ regulations contained in 30 TAC 285.1-285.91 <br />as amended. <br />Repair means to restore or mend to sound working condition after damage, decay <br />or failure. <br />Sec. 86.151. Adoption of rules. <br />(a) The On-site Sewage Facility Rules are adopted, and all officials and <br />employees of the city having duties under these rules are authorized to perform those <br />duties. <br />(b) It is unlawful for any person who owns. maintains or occupies any <br />structure discharging sewage into an on-site sewage facility within the corporate limits of <br />the city to fail or refuse to comply with the On-site Sewage Facility Rules. <br />(c) V.T.C.A. Health and Safety Code Chapter 366, On-site Sewage Disposal <br />Systems, and all revisions or amendments, is adopted by reference. <br />(d) The provisions of this chapter apply within the corporate limits of the city, <br />unless a provision expressly provides otherwise. <br />• Sec. 86-152.
