b any pollutant released in a discharge at a flow rate and/or pollutant <br />concentration which, either singly or by interaction with other <br />pollutants, may cause the POTW's effluent or any product of the <br />POTW, such as residues, sludges or scums, to be unsuitable for <br />reclamation and recycling or interfere with the reclamation <br />process. In no case, shall a substance discharged to a POTW cause <br />the POTW to be in noncompliance with applicable local, state or <br />federal sludge use or disposal guidelines; or <br />c. petroleum oil, non-biodegradable cutting oil, or products of <br />mineral oil origin, in amounts that will cause interference of pass <br />through. <br />Sec. 86.135. Installation and Maintenance Requirements. <br />(a) Installations. <br />(1) New Facilities. Food processing or food service facilities which are newly <br />proposed or constructed, or existing facilities which will be expanded or <br />renovated to include a food processing or food service facility, where such <br />facility did not previously exist, shall be reauired to design, install, operate <br />• and maintain a grease trap/interceptor in accordance with locally adopted <br />plumbing codes or other applicable ordinances. Grease traps/interceptors <br />shall be installed and inspected prior to issuance of a certificate of <br />occupancv. <br />(2) Existing Facilities. Existing grease traps/interceptors must be operated and <br />maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and in <br />accordance with the requirements of this ordinance, unless specified in <br />writing and approved by the Director. A change in ownership of an <br />existing facility or a circumstance that creates the need for the <br />reapplication for a certificate of occupancy of an existing facility will <br />require verification in writing of the adequacy of any existing grease trap <br />or grease interceptor. If any such grease trap or grease interceptor at the <br />existing facility is found to be inadequate based upon the standards in this <br />ordinance the existing facility will be required to design, install, operate <br />and maintain a grease trap/interceptor in accordance with the standards in <br />this ordinance. locally adopted plumbing codes or other applicable <br />ordinances. <br />(3) All grease trap/interceptor waste shall be properly disposed of at a facility <br />in accordance with federal, state, or local regulation. <br />0 (b) Cleaninz and Maintenance.
