<br />15 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1973-22-R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, EXPRESSING THE COUNCIL'S INTENT <br />TO IMPLEMENT A COMPREHENSIVE TRAFFIC SURVEY PROGRAM <br />IN THE EVENT THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS RECEIVES A GRANT <br />FROM THE GOVERNOR'S TRAFFIC SAFETY PROGRAM. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas is of the <br />opinion that there exists within the City the need to establish effective <br />traffic safety program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council has committed revenue to the improvement of streets <br />and traffic safety control devices within the City for budget period <br />October 1, 1973 to September 30, 1974, pursuant to the need expressed <br />above; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, has made application for a state <br />grant from the "Governor's Office of Traffic Safety" for the purpose of <br />conducting a comprehensive traffic engineering survey, pursuant to the <br />need expressed above; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS TEXAS: <br /> <br />Part 1. That the City of San Marcos, Texas is committed to street and <br />traffic condition improvement designed for the purpose of increased traffic <br />safety within the City. <br /> <br />Part 2. That upon r~ceipt of a state grant from the "Governor's Office <br />of Traffic Safety" the City of San Marcos, Texas is committed to and does <br />hereby express its intention to implement a comprehensive traffic survey <br />program. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Part 3.
