V. That a totally new section numbered 30-8 be added to the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, Texas, so that said section shall henceforth read as follows: SECTION 30-8 RECONNECT FEES I When a reconnection is requested to be made to an existing tap on the water system of the City, a charge of Four Dollars ($4.00) shall be collected prior to making any such connection. If the request is made after five o'clock p.m. or on weekends, a charge of Six Dollars ($6.00) shall be collected on the next working day following the reconnection. VI. That the present Section 30-27 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, Texas, be deleted and an entirely new section under the same number be substituted therefor, so that said section shall henceforth read as follows: SECTION 30-27 RATES (A) A charge shall be paid by all persons owning or occupying premises which are connected with the water system of the City in accordance with the following scheduled rates, and charges as are hereinafter described are hereby levied and assessed: I (1) 0 - 2,000 gallons $ 2.00 minimum (2) 2,000 - 10,000 gallons 0.40 for each 1,000 gallons or any part thereof (3) 10,000 - 50,000 gallons 0.35 for each 1,000 gallons or any part thereof (4) 50,000 - 100,000 gallons 0.30 for each 1,000 gallons or any part thereof (5) over 100,000 gallons 0.25 for each 1,000 gallons or any part thereof (6) Water supplied the customers residing outside the corporate City limits shall be calculated at 1.5 times the rate paid by users within the City limits. (B) No water will be furnished by the City except upon the schedule of charges above outlined. VII. That the present Section 30~28 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of. San Marcos, Tex<;ls, be deleted and anentiriHy new section under the same number be substituted therefor, so that said section shall henceforth read as follows: SECTION 30-28 WHEN DUE AND PAYABLE; DELINQUENCY I All water bills mllst be paid on or before the tenth day of the mont,h in which t,he same fall due. In the event any wllter user of the City shall fail or refuse to pay his water bill on or before the tenth day of the month in which the same falls due, a delinquent service charge in the sum equivalent to ten percent (10%) of such water bill shall be added to such bill and shall be paid by such water user to the City. In the event any user of the municipal water system shall fail or refuse to pay his water bill within thirty (30) days after the date of billing, water service to such delinquent user shall be discontinued.
