80 <br /> <br />RegUlar Meeting <br /> <br />June 8, 1981 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Mr. Cavazos moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. <br />James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously, Mr. James in- <br />structued the City Secretary to refer to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission a petition that had been presented to the Council by <br />Charles Evans prior to the meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. James introduced for consideration a Zoning Ordinance on first <br />reading and a public hearing. Mr. James opened the public hearing. <br />No one wished to speak in favor or against the Ordinance, so Mr. <br />James closed the hearing. The Zoning Ordinance was then read in <br />its entirety, the caption which follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br />WHICH REGULATES AND' RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br />OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER <br />29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOT NOS. <br />1, 2 AND 3 OF AIRPORT SUBDIVISION, LOCATED ON I~'~35 <br />SOUTH, FROM "C" (COMMERCIAL USE) TO "LI" (LIGHT INDUS- <br />TRIAL) . <br /> <br />Mr. Brown moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. <br />Cavazos seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. James introduced for consideration a Zoning Ordinance on first <br />reading and a public hearing on the rezoning of Lot Nos. 1 and 2 <br />in Block No. 3 of G. A. McNaughton Addition, located at Yale and <br />Academy, from "R-i" (Single-Family Residential Dwelling District) <br />to "TH" (Townhome District). Mr. James, opened the public hearing. <br />No one wished to speak in favor of the rezoning and Dr. Ken Long <br />opposed the rezoning because of the moratorium of high density de- <br />velopment. The public hearing was then closed. The Ordinance was <br />not read on first reading, as Mrs. Shirley Wickersham, the developer <br />of the property, withdrew her request before Planning and Zoning. <br /> <br />Mr. James introduced for consideration a Zoning Ordinance on first <br />reading and a public hearing on the rezoning of Lot Nos~. 3 and 4 in <br />Block No. 3 of G. A. McNaughton Addition, located at Orchard and <br />Academy, from "R-l" (Single-Family Residential Dwelling District) <br />to "TH" (Townhome District). Mr. James opened the public hearing. <br />No one wished to speak in favor of the rezoning and Dr. Ken Long <br />opposed the rezoning of the property when he spoke in the public <br />hearing on.the above property. The>public hearing was closed. The <br />Ordinance was not read on first reading, as Mrs. Shirley Wickersham, <br />the developer~ of the property, withdrew her request before, Planning <br />and Zoning, <br /> <br />Mr. James introduced for consideration a Zoning Ordinance on first <br />reading and a public hearing.
