<br />I. <br /> <br />2. That the City of San Marcos relinquishes hereby <br />'to the said Francis M. Mauldin and wife, Martha Jane Mauldin, <br />al I right, title~and interest of the City of San Marcos in <br />and to the above-described portions of land, and,ifurther, <br />fhatthe Mayor of fhe City-of San Marcos is hereby aufhorized, <br />empowered'and directed to execute and deliver to the s~id <br />Francis M. Mauldin and wife, Martha'Jane M~uldin, quitclaim <br />deeds to those portions of land, such quitclaim deeds to be <br />executed and del ivered in the due and usual form by the Mayor <br />a~dCitySecretary, in their respective capacities, and ~ith the <br />se~l-of the City of San Marcos and attestation of the City <br />Secretary affixed and shown thereon. <br /> <br />3. Inasmuch as abandonment of this property IS a necessary <br />and'integral part- in the imminent construction of the Sessom <br />Drive project, therefore, an emerge~cy exists, requiring that <br />the provisions of the Charter of ' the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />which ordinarily require ordinances to be re~d on-three (3) <br />several days and that no ordinances shal I become effective until <br />the expiration of ten (10) days fol lowing the d~te of its-final <br />passage, be dispensed with, Thus, th~s ordinance shall be effective <br />immediately upon its passage by this body and its publ ication ' <br />in a newspaper of general circulation within the City of San Marcos. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of September, 1972, <br /> <br />.~, '#-l-~ <br /> <br />~H.
