151 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />August 10, 1981 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTIONS 29-123 AND 29-152(c) <br />OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO ADD EIGHT <br />LOCATIONS WITHIN SAID CITY AT WHICH PARKING SHALL BE <br />PROHIBITED; TO ADD FOUR LOCATIONS WITHIN SAID CITY <br />WHICH SHALL BE DESIGNATED AS TOW-AWAY ZONES AND ES- <br />TABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved to adopt the Ordinance on third and final reading <br />and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. There was some discussion to <br />monitor Cheatham Street at the River~ Bridge to see if this location <br />might need to be added to the above Ordinance in the future. The <br />Ordinance passed by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on third and final reading amending Appendix A of the Code of Ordin- <br />ances entitled General Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX A OF THE CODE OF OR- <br />DINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ENTITLED <br />"GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCE" TO INCLUDE " HOME OCCUPATION" <br />AS A SPECIFIC USE ALLOWABLE IN "'R-i' SINGLE-FAMILY <br />DWELLING DISTRICTS," "'TH' TOg~HOUSE RESIDENTIAL DIS- <br />TRICTS,'' "'R-2' DUPLEX OR TWO FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICTS" <br />AND "'D' MULTI-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICTS" AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown moved to adopt the Ordinance on third and final reading and <br />Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration a Resolution approving an <br />Agreement with the Texas Museum of History, Inc. pertaining to the <br />removal of a structure from Southwest Texas State University property. <br />Mayor Craddock moved to table this Resolution and the next Resolution <br />on the agenda, approving a Contract of Sale with Southwest Texas State <br />University for a structure on the University property, because the <br />Chairman of the Texas Museum of History, Inc., Colonel R. L. Beechinor, <br />had resigned as Chairman and the Texas Museum of History would have <br />time to designate a new Chairman and remove the building even though <br />Council was not acting on the Resolutions at this time.
