Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Reso- <br />lution approving an Agreement with the Texas Museum of HistorY, Inc. <br />pertaining to the removal of a building from the Southwest Texas <br />State University property, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT ASSIGNING <br />RESPONSIBILITIES BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE TEXAS <br />MUSEUM OF HISTORY, INC., PERTAINING TO THE REMOVAL <br />OF A STRUCTURE FROM SOUTHWEST TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY <br />PROPERTY, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY <br />TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown moved to adopt the Resolution and Mr. Kreczmer seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Reso- <br />lution approving a Contract of Sale with Southwest Texas State Uni- <br />versity for a structure on the University property, the caption which <br />was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TItE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A CONTRACT OF SALE BETWEEN <br />SAID CITY AND SOUTHWEST TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY FOR <br />A STRUCTURE LOCATED ON UNIVERSITY PROPERTY, AUTHOR- <br />IZING THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID <br />CONTRACT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Kreczmer moved to adopt the Resolution and Mr. James seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br />tion authorizing the Mayor to quitclaim property to Vico Real Estate <br />Company, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO <br />QUITCLAIM TWO TRACTS OF LAND OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMEN- <br />DI SURVEY NO. 2 TO VICO REAL ESTATE COMPANY, INC. AND <br />DELCARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Kreczmer moved to adopt the Resolution and Mr. James seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br />tion accepting a bid for the Cemetery Maintenance Services from October <br />1, 1981 to September 30, 1982, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF A & A LA~ MAIN- <br />TENANCE FOR THE PROVISION OF MAINTENANCE SERVICES AT <br />THE SAN MARCOS CEMETERY FOR THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 1, <br />1981 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 1982; APPROVING THE TERMS AND <br />CONDITIONS OF A CONTRACT FOR THE PROVISION OF SAID <br />SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXE- <br />CUTE SAID CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND DECLAR- <br />ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />When the Resolution was first read City Secretary Janis Womack read <br />"blank" where A & A Lawn Maintenance appears underlined in the above <br />caption. Mrs. Norris asked City Manager why we did nOt just accept <br />the low bid received from Carr-Breisel. City Manager said their bid <br />was not believed to be unacceptable, there was just concern over their <br />lack of experience in cemetery maintenance. Mr. James moved to approve <br />the bid of A & A Lawn Maintenance in the amount of $43,000 and Mrs. Nor- <br />ris seconded the motion. Mr. James indicated with the experience of <br />A & A Lawn Maintenance and with their equipment, he believed their bid <br />was the most acceptable, but he wanted Mr. Ramirez, one of the owners <br /> <br /> <br />
