Based on the existing and projected
availability of reclaimed water, evaluate and refine the conceptual reclaimed water corridors.
The Consultant will include an evaluation of the following alternatives to address potential
differences between identified reclaimed water demands and availability.

a)

Phasing of proposed reclaimed water pipelines to bring on additional customers as
additional supply becomes available.

b)

Addition of reclaimed water storage at the wastewater treatment plant to address diurnal
or seasonal variations.

c)

Identification of a supplemental source of water (if availability of reclaimed water is not
sufficient to meet demands) and method of distributing the supplementaJ water (raw or
potable) through the reclaimed water system.

1.2.6 Review Improvements for Wastewater Treatment Plant. Based on the refined reclaimed
water corridors, the Consultant will review and update the information previously developed
concerning needed improvements at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

1.2.7 Prepare Opinion of Probable Construction Cost. Develop an opinion of probable
construction cost for the reclaimed water corridor pipelines identified in Section 1.2.5 above. The
Consultant will present its opinions in a manner that will reflect any recommended phasing, as
well as both pipeline and treatment plant related costs. The Consultant will provide capital costs
in terms of cost per acre-foot of reclaimed water used in a year. The Consultant will compare
this cost to similar costs for alternative water supplies as developed by the City's water supply
master plan consultant.

1.2.8 Prepare Engineering Report. Prepare an engineering report summarizing the results of
the Project, and will provide five copies of a draft of the report to the City for its review and
comment. The Consultant will meet with the City to receive comments on the draft and will
subsequently revise the draft to address comments, as appropriate. The Consultant will provide
the City with fifteen copies of the final report no later than fourteen calendar days from the time
the Consultant receives City's comments.

1.2.9 Meet with City Staff.
