246. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2004- iOi R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, REJECTING ALL BIDS SUBMITTED FOR THE SESSOM DRIVE/ <br />LOOP 82 INTERSECTION AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br /> 1. On May 6, 2004 the City received two bids for the Sessom Drive/Loop 82 <br />Improvements Project (the "Project") (IFB-24-042). <br /> <br /> 2. After review by City staff it was determined that both bids were higher than <br />the Engineer's estimate of probable cost. <br /> <br /> 3. In addition, the Texas Department of Transportation ("TxDOT") notified the <br />City that the traffic signal poles would not be available by the estimated completion of the <br />City's improvements. <br /> <br />4. The City Council wishes to reject both bids for construction of the Project. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> PART 1. The bids received in response to an invitation for bids for the Project are <br />rejected. <br /> <br /> PART 2.
