RESOLUTION 2008 -129 R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF A PLAN OF <br />ACTION TO THE TEXAS STATE LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES <br />COMMISSION FOR A FY 2009 LONE STAR LIBRARIES GRANT <br />AWARD; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THIS PLAN OF <br />ACTION AND ANY SUBSEQUENT GRANT AGREEMENT AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />RECITALS: <br />1. The San Marcos Public Library has been notified that it will receive $12,459.00 in <br />direct state aid grant funding from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission through the <br />Lone Star Libraries ("LSL") grant program. <br />2. In order to receive the grant funding allocated to the San Marcos Public Library <br />for FY 2009, the City must submit a Plan of Action as its application to the Texas State Library <br />and Archives Commission before October 31, 2008. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />• TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The filing of a Plan of Action with the Texas State Library and Archives <br />Commission for $12,459.00 in grant funding through the LSL grant program is approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager, Rick Menchaca is authorized to act on behalf of the <br />City in all matters related to the grant application and any subsequent grant agreement. <br />PART 3.
