<br />94. <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />July 26, 2004 <br /> <br />Page 18 <br /> <br />$15,000.00. Mr. Thomaides stated he voted against the first P.I.L.O.T. <br />program. He stated he did not support the P.I.L.O.T. the first time <br />because he does not want to take property off the tax rolls. He stated he <br />would not support the Stone Brook Senior Community P.I.L.O.T. program even <br />if Willow Springs P.I.L.O.T. does get approved. Mr. Taylor moved to table <br />this discussion until the next Regular Meeting to be held on August 9, <br />2004, and Mr. Thomaides seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced a discussion regarding proposed dates for <br />scheduling City Council Special Meetings and Workshops. A. City Council <br />Special Meeting regarding Rezoning Ordinance (scheduled Monday, August 2, <br />2004, at 6:00 p.m.). The Council agreed by consensus to hold a Special <br />Meeting at 6:00 p.m. B. City Council Special Meeting for an Executive <br />Session regarding Bed and Banks permit suit (proposed date and time August <br />9, 2004, at 6:00 p.m.). The Council agreed by consensus to hold an <br />Executive Session at 6:00 p.m. on August 9, 2004. C. Joint City Council <br />and Planning and Zoning Commission Workshop (P&Z suggests one of two <br />proposed dates: Tuesday, September 21, 2004, or Monday, October 4, 2004). <br />The Council agreed by consensus to hold a Workshop with the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission on October II, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. D. Joint City Council <br />and Transportation Advisory Board Workshop regarding the Transportation <br />Master Plan (suggested dates [choose one]) include: Monday, August 2, <br />2004, at 6:00 p.m. in conjunction with Special Meeting to consider <br />Rezoning Ordinance, or Thursday, August 12, 2004, or Thursday, August 29, <br />2004). The Council agreed by consensus to hold a Workshop with the <br />Transportation Advisory Board immediately following the Special Meeting on <br />August 2, 2004. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced a discussion regarding the 2004 Sunset Review <br />Commission Report. The Council agreed by consensus for the Ordinances to <br />be drafted containing their recommendations. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced a discussion regarding the Economic Development <br />Council, Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Hispanic Chamber of Commerce <br />Contracts. Mr. O'Leary stated he provided Council with information from <br />the Economic Development Council, and Convention and Visitors' Bureau <br />about their particular operations. Mr. Thomaides inquired as to the <br />amount of salary increases. Dan Rogers, Director of Economic Development <br />Council, stated the salary increase is 5.98 percent. He stated the <br />increase was $5,825.00 over the 2003 - 2004 Budget, which is 5.98 percent. <br />He also stated this includes two full-time staff members and three other <br />staff members, which are partially paid by the Economic Development <br />Council. Mayor Narvaiz inquired as to the memberships of the Chamber of <br />Commerce. Mr. Neighbors stated the Chamber, not counting Economic <br />Development or Tourism, is funded approximately 50 percent by membership <br />investments and then approximately 50 percent by what they call non-dues <br />income or other events. He stated the membership income has dropped by 8 <br />percent over the last year and a half, to two years, and they have <br />
