Regular Meeting August 9, 2004 Page 12 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO THE CITY A TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 111.411 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED IN THE 2600 - 3000 BLOCKS OF OLD BASTROP HIGHWAY (HIGH SCHOOL TRACT) ¡ APPROVING A SERVICE PLAN FOR THIS TRACT ¡ AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. Mr. Taylor moved for adoption of the Annexation Ordinance on third and final reading, and Mr. Thomaides seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration reconsideration of a Zoning Ordinance. The Council did not wish to reconsider this Ordinance. The caption reads as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A 117.834 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 2700 AND 2800 BLOCKS OF INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 AS "C" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT¡ INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS¡ AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held July 26, 2004, approval of minutes of the Special Meeting held August 2, 2004, approval of two Ordinances on second reading, adoption of three Ordinances on third and final reading, adoption of three Resolutions, approval of expenditure in the amount of $2,000.00 from the Tourist Account for the purpose of promoting tourism to the City of San Marcos through the Eddie Durham Heritage Music Festival to be held August 21, 2004, and approval of expenditure in the amount of $5,000.00 from the Tourist Account for the purpose of promoting tourism to the City of San Marcos for the visit of Sister City Monclova, Mexico delegation to San Marcos August 18-20, 2004, on consensus. The Council removed Item 24, approval of an Ordinance on second reading, and Item 29, adoption of a Resolution, to be considered separately. Mr. Mihalkanin moved for approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held July 26, 2004, approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held August 2, 2004, approval of one Ordinance on second reading, adoption of three Ordinances on third and final reading, adoption of the remaining two Resolutions, approval of expenditure in the amount of $2,000.00 from the Tourist Account for the purpose of promoting tourism to the City of San Marcos through the Eddie Durham Heritage Music Festival to be held August 21, 2004, and approval of expenditure in the amount of $5,000.00 from the Tourist Account for the purpose of promoting tourism to the City of San Marcos for the visit of Sister City Monclova, Mexico delegation to San Marcos August 18-20, 2004, on consensus, and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
