Womack <br />Mark Taylor <br />Stephanie Langenkamp <br />Carol Barrett <br />Tom Taggart <br />Laurie Anderson <br />Rodney Gonzales <br /> <br />Also present: Steve Ramsey, Lydia Marie Trevino, Melissa Millecam, Phil <br />Neighbors, Dan Rogers, Rebecca Ramirez, Richard Garza, Jane Hughson, Larry <br />DuPont, Stephanie Garcia, Jan Clark, Shelley Goodwin and others. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Mayor Narvaiz lead <br />the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br />of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A 117.834 ACRE <br />TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 2700 AND 2800 BLOCKS OF INTERSTATE <br />HIGHWAY 35 AS "C" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCDEDURAL <br />PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. 1) Steve Ramsey, of Baker Aicklen & Associates, stated he was <br />present on behalf of Perry Financial Corporation if the Council had any <br />questions. Mayor Narvaiz asked if anyone else wished to speak. No one <br />did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. Mr. Diaz moved for <br />adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Taylor seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced a discussion regarding the San Marcos Area <br />Chamber of Commerce and San Marcos Hispanic Chamber of Commerce economic <br />development and tourism promotion services contracts and direction to <br />Staff on contract language and role of oversight boards.
