ORDINANCE NO. 2010 - 33 <br />• AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS CHANGING THE NAME OF A PORTION OF EAST <br />MCCARTY LANE, FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH OLD BASTROP <br />HIGHWAY (CR 266) TO ITS TO ITS CURRENT TERMINUS POINT AT <br />THE CITY LIMIT LINE (2600 BLOCK OF EAST MACCARTY LANE), TO <br />"RATTLER ROAD "; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. On May 25, 2010, the City Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing <br />regarding a request to change the name of a portion of East McCarty Lane, from its intersection with <br />Old Bastrop Highway (CR 266) to its current terminus point at the city limit line (2600 Block of East <br />McCarty Lane), to Rattler Road. Following the public hearing, the Commission voted to approve the <br />request on said date and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council. <br />2. The City Council held a public hearing on June 15, 2010 regarding the request. <br />3. All requirements of Chapter 74 of the City Code pertaining to street name changes <br />have been meet. <br />• BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />SECTION 1. The street name for a portion of East McCarty Lane, from its intersection with <br />Old Bastrop Highway (CR 266) to its current terminus point at the city limit line (2600 Block of East <br />McCarty Lane), is changed to Rattler Road. <br />SECTION 2. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict <br />with this ordinance are repealed. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance will become effective upon final reading or publication if <br />publication is required by applicable law. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading on June 15, 2010. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on second reading on July 6, 2010. <br />• <br />ju&w 'JU <br />Susan Narvai <br />Mayor <br />
