On March 23, 2004, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San <br />Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "M" Single- <br />Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District to "R-2", Single-Family Dwelling <br />District (Medium Density) for a 0.164 acre tract of property located at 310 Shady Lane. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission did, on March 23, 2004 consider and vote to approve the request, and has <br />recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />,.., <br />.J. <br />August <br /> <br />The City Council held a public hearing on the <br />, 2004, regarding the request. <br /> <br />9th day of <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code <br />pertaining to zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the <br />following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section <br />114.029 of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property <br />which is presently zoned "M" Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business <br />District to "R-2" Single-Family Dwelling District (Medium Density): <br /> <br />Street address: 310 Block of Shady Lane. <br /> <br />Legal description: Lot 43, Block 8 of the D.S. Combs Addition. <br /> <br />Size: 0.164 acre tract. <br />
