On July 27, 2004, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos <br />held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "P" Public and Institutional <br />District to "PDD" Plmmed Development District (with base zoning of "LB" Limited Business <br />District) for a 3.67 acre, more or less, tract of propeliy located at 330 West Hutchison Street and <br />400 North Street, to be known as the Sanctuary Planned Development District. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />did, on July 27, 2004, consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that the <br />request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on August 23 <br />request. <br /> <br />, 2004, regarding the <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to <br />zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and detennines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of <br />the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property (the "Project Site") <br />which is presently zoned "P" Public and Institutional District to "PDD" Plmmed Development <br />District (with base zoning of "LB" Heavy Commercial District), subject to the provisions of the <br />land use plan and development standards described in Section 2 of this ordinance: <br /> <br />Street address: 330 West Hutchison Street and 400 North Street <br />
