Consider adoption of Resolution 2008-148R, in support of the Hays County Bond <br />Election seeking authorization to issue $207,110,000.00 of Hays County General Obligation <br />Bonds for the construction and improvement of county roads and state highways including <br />FM 110 from McCarty Lane to SH 123; and declaring an effective date. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Guerrero and a second by Councilmember <br />Couch, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to approve Resolution 2008- <br />148-R, as previously captioned. The motion carried unanimously. <br />30. Consider setting the date and time for a workshop to discuss appointments to City of <br />San Marcos Boards and Commissions. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember <br />Councilmember Jones, the City Council voted six (6) for <br />Councilmember Guerrero abstaining, to set the date and time <br />November 18, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. The motion carried. <br />31. Executive Session <br />Thomaides and a second by <br />and none (0) opposed, with <br />for the workshop on Tuesday, <br />In accordance with the Texas Government Code, §551.074 - Personnel Matters, the San Marcos <br />S City Council convened into Executive Session at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in <br />order to continue discussing matters pertaining to: <br />A. Duties of a Public Officer; to wit: City Manager and City Council. <br />The Executive Session adjourned at 11:25 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. <br />32. Reconvene and Consider Action on Item Discussed During Executive Session. <br />The San Marcos City Council reconvened into regular session at 11:26 p.m. on Tuesday, October <br />21, 2008. The following direction to staff was required from Executive Session: <br />Mayor Narvaiz reported they had discussed the duties of the City Manager and City Council. No <br />action was required. <br />33. Question and answer session with press and public. <br />There were no questions. <br />34.
