DIVISION 2. WATER AND WASTEWATER LINE EXTENSIONS <br />Sec. 86.002. Processing of applications for water or wastewater service, water or • <br />wastewater connections, and water or wastewater line extensions. <br />(a) Definitions. In this s°�rdivision <br />Application means a written application to initiate service from a city water or <br />wastewater line, an application for connection to a city water or wastewater line, or an <br />application for extension of a city water or wastewater line, whether the water or <br />wastewater line is within or outside the city limits. <br />Director means the director of the and wastewme development services <br />department, or the director's authorized representative. <br />Fair notice of the project and the nature of the development to be served by the utility <br />service, utility connection or utility extension means a written description of the <br />development, accompanied by sufficient written information for the director to determine <br />all of the following: <br />(1) The site of the proposed development, including its physical location and size; <br />(2) The nature of the proposed development, in sufficient detail to be able to: <br />a. Determine the physical characteristics of the development (e.g., fill or <br />excavation, building construction, public infrastructure installation or <br />improvement); <br />b. Determine the nature and extent of public facilities or infrastructure, if any, <br />that would be associated with or impacted by the development; <br />c. Confirm that the proposed development requires a decision, permit or <br />approval by the city under the Land Development Code before the <br />development is initiated; and <br />d. Confirm the manner in which the proposed development contributes to <br />completion of the project for which the decision, permit or approval is sought, <br />if the development is part of a larger project; and <br />e. Confirm the specific type of decision, permit or approval that is required by <br />the city for the development under the Land Development Code before the <br />development is initiated. <br />The director shall presume that an application provides "fair notice of the project and <br />the nature of the development to be served by the utility service, utility connection or • <br />utility extension" if the application is submitted on the proper application form <br />2 <br />
