RESOLUTION 2010 -112R <br />• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />BLOCK GRANT CONSOLIDATED PLAN FOR FISCAL YEARS 2010- <br />2014; AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO ACT AS <br />THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY IN MATTERS <br />RELATED TO THE GRANT PROGRAM; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. As part of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ( "HUD ") <br />Community Development Block Grant Program ( "CDBG ") the City is required to approve a <br />Consolidated Plan (the "Plan ") for the City for fiscal years 2010 -2014. <br />2. In compliance with HUD regulations, a 30 -day citizen comment period was held <br />beginning July 2, 2010 and concluding August 2, 2010. <br />3. The City Council, having held a public hearing on the Plan in order to receive and <br />consider citizen comments, wishes to approve the Plan for fiscal years 2010 -2014. <br />• BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The adoption and publication of the Plan for fiscal years 2010 -2014 as <br />presented to the City Council on this date is approved. <br />PART 2. The Interim City Manager, Laurie Moyer, is designated as the official <br />representative of the City authorized to act in all matters related to submission of the Plan and all <br />understandings and assurances contained in the Plan, and to provide additional information as <br />required on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3.
