Engineer will meet with City representatives at mutually convenient times to assemble this data <br />and information. <br />1.1 TASK 1 -PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING <br />The Engineer will: <br />1.1.1 Assemble a Project team comprised of the City's representatives and the Engineer's <br />representatives. The Engineer will meet with the Project team to set the design and production <br />schedule and parameters for all subsequent work, to verify the components within which all <br />Project participants must perform, and to identify all parties and significant deadlines involved in <br />the comprehensive schedule strategy. Based on this information, the Engineer will prepare a <br />detailed schedule of its work for the Project addressing each component of the work to be done, <br />indicating the points of involvement of all project participants. The Engineer will conduct <br />weekly progress meetings between the Project team and the Contractor once the construction <br />contract is executed. <br />1.1.2 Data Gatheriniz. Obtain and review record documents (e.g., existing rights-of-way, <br />utilities and other improvements along and within the proposed route). Obtain and review <br />existing field surveys from the City. In addition, the Engineer will identify physical conflicts <br />and constraints. <br />1. 1.3 Agency Coordination. Coordinate with the City and the Texas Department of <br />Transportation ("TxDOT") for rights-of-way, signage and drainage structure issues. In addition, <br />the Engineer will coordinate with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation ("TDLR") <br />for accessibility issues and with utility providers for utility structures. <br />1. 1.4 Set Design Criteria and Finalize Route. Recommend Design Criteria to include: <br />a) Pavement section and type; <br />b) Required utility relocations; <br />c) Traffic control; <br />d) Bikeway/ Pathway signage; and <br />e) Landscape and irrigation. <br />1.1.5 With City's input and direction, establish design criteria and finalize the Project route. <br />1.1.6 Prepare preliminary design documents and a preliminary opinion of probable cost. <br />1. 1.7 Presentation of Preliminary Documents. Meet with the City and TxDOT to obtain <br />consensus/approval of preliminary design and Project route. <br />1.2 TASK 2 - CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS AND PERMITTING <br />The Engineer will: <br />Doucet and Associates-Hike and Bike Trail <br />2
