RESOLUTION NO. 2010- 116R <br />• <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, LIMITING IMPLEMENTATION OF ANY <br />PROPOSED SMARTCODE TO THE DOWNTOWN STUDY AREA; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RFCITAT.S! <br />1. The City Council is considering the possible implementation of a new zoning <br />classification to be governed by regulations established under what is known as a "SmartCode ". <br />2. The City Council wishes to express its intentions and to provide direction to City <br />staff regarding the implementation of the SmartCode at such time as it is proposed for adoption. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The City Council hereby declares its intent that any proposed SmartCode <br />presented to the City Council for consideration and adoption shall be implemented only within <br />the boundaries of the Downtown Study Area approved by the City Council. <br />i s PART 2. Such SmartCode shall not be implemented in any other parts of the City <br />beyond the boundaries of the Downtown Study Area. <br />PART 3.
