Agreement, and promptly pay all taxes required by law. <br />H. The Contractor will charge discounted disposal fees to residential utility customers of the <br />City for disposal of recyclable materials that are difficult to recycle, including but not <br />limited to tires, filters and freon-bearing appliances accepted by the Contractor at the <br />center. The Contractor will require a customer to verify status as a residential utility <br />customer by showing a copy of the customer's current City utility bill. The Contractor <br />may, but is not required to, charge surcharges or disposal fees to other persons. <br />1. The specification in this Agreement of the types of recyclable materials to be accepted by <br />the Contractor is MINIMUM ONLY, and does not limit the types of recyclable materials <br />the Contractor is allowed to accept. <br />Section 1.4 City Facilities and Neighborhood Cleanup Recycling Collection Services <br />1.4.1 Provision of City Facilities Collection Services; Materials to be Collected <br />The Contractor will furnish the City with twenty 95 gallon carts for collection and disposal of the <br />following office paper at selected City facilities on a weekly basis; and collect and properly <br />dispose of the paper: <br />(1) computer paper (6) white paper <br />(2) colored paper (7) carbonless forms <br />(3) fax paper (8) envelopes <br />(4) file folders (9) post-it-notes <br />(5) glossy paper (10) direct mail advertisements <br />1.4.2 Provision of Neighborhood Cleanup Collection Services <br />The Contractor will furnish labor, equipment and facilities for collection of recyclable materials <br />at a minimum of six neighborhood cleanups and two river cleanups per year. <br />1.4.3 ualit <br />A. The Contractor will not spill or leave recyclable material on the ground. If the Contractor <br />spills material it will clean the spill using all means necessary before the truck leaves the <br />premises. The Contractor will clean up liquid and hydraulic spills with an absorbent that <br />will be carried on all trucks. If a spill leaves a stain on a roadway, building, or other <br />similar surface, the Contractor will use all reasonable means available to remove the stain <br />and restore the facility to the satisfaction of the Director. <br />B. The Contractor will be responsible for injuries to any person and damage to any private or <br />public property, including City-owned property, caused by willful or negligent acts or by <br />accidents related to the Contractor's operations and activities under this Contract. <br />Page 3
