To further assist with
your evaluation, please find the enclosed lists of special species that occur in
Hays County.

Impervious vehicular and pedestrian use areas should not impede natural surface
water drainage. Stormwater runoff from these areas should be treated before
discharging into nearby aquatic and wetland habitats. Runoff should be directed
into vegetated swales, retention or detention ponds, or similar pre-treatment
areas.

Project plans should include measures to prevent erosion and sediment runoff
from disturbed areas and sedImentation into wetlands. Construction sites should
be managed for erosion until native plants have been reestablished on disturbed
areas. Newly graded areas should be seeded or sodded with a mixture of native
grasses and leguminous forbs, while graded embankments should not exceed a
4: 1 slope. Enclosed are lists of erosion hardy native plants.

I appreciate the opportunity to review and comment on your project.
