The proposed project involving construction of facilities on
previously undeveloped areas are within the boundary of the airport property.

The proposed work area contains the following important farmland soil map unit:

BrA - Branyon clay, 0-1% slopes

Although this area is prime farmland, the Farmland Protection Policy Act (FPP A), recognizes the
airport property as land already converted to nonagricultural uses and as "farmland already in urban
development". The airport property, runway corridors and right-of-ways(ROW) are not subject
to the Farmland Protection Policy Act.

Please accept my apology for not responding to your request in a timely manner. Thank you for
submitting resource materials that provided valuable assistance in the evaluation process. If you
need more assistance or information, please contact Sam Brown at (254) 742-9854, FAX(254) 742-
9859.

Sincerely,

For: Sam Brown
Soil Survey Section

Clearcode: Bolte
04/19/2000

NRCS: SOl: JJC
07-05- '00

A-36
