RESOLUTION 2010 - 12 5 R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'T'Y OF SAN <br />MARCOS, 'T'EXAS, APPROVING AUTHORIZATION OF CHANGE IN <br />SERVICES NO. 1 TO AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND <br />BYRN & ASSOCIA'T'ES, INC. FOR THE PROVISION OF ADDITIONAL <br />SERVICES RELATED TO THE REVISION OF CONSTRUCTION PLANS <br />FOR THE QUAIL RUN WATER LINE, PHASE II PROJECT; <br />INCREASING THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT FROM $47 <br />To $57,465.04; AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE THE AUTHORIZATION OF CHANGE IN SERVICES AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. On June 24, 2008, the City entered into an agreement with Byrn & Associates, <br />Inc. (the "Agreement ") for the provision of professional engineering services in connection with <br />the Quail Run water Line, Phase II Project (the "Project <br />2. It is necessary to increase the amount of the Agreement due to the provision of <br />additional engineering services related to the revision of construction plans for the Project; <br />however, the funding required by this Authorization of Change in Services No. 1 will cause the <br />Agreement to exceed the authorized threshold of $50,000.00. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The attached Authorization of Change in Services No. I for $10,000.00 to <br />the Agreement with Byrn & Associates, Inc. for the Quail Run water Line Phase II Project is <br />approved. <br />PART 2. The increase of the original contract amount from $47,465.00 to <br />$57,465.00 is approved. <br />PART 3. The Interim City Manager, is authorized to execute the attached <br />Authorization of Change in Services on behalf of the City. <br />PART 4, This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br />after its passage. <br />ADOP'T'ED this the 17 day of August., 2010. <br />0 <br />
