Diane Wassenich- (San Marcos) spoke on behalf of the River Foundation. She stated she had <br />some concerns with this project in regards to the Edwards Aquifer. <br />Steve Harvey -(San Marcos) spoke in opposition to the project. He provided copies of the letter <br />from Edwards Aquifer dated February 19, 2009. <br />Nancy Megerson -(San Marcos) spoke in opposition to the project. She stated she was concern <br />that this project would increase the traffic on to McCarty Road. <br />Ann Jenkins- (San Marcos) spoke in opposition to the project. She stated she was concern with <br />the effect this project will have on the Edwards Aquifer. <br />Anita Fuller- (San Marcos) spoke in support of the project. She stated she would rather see the <br />City of San Marcos controlling this project and the growth of McCarty than the County. <br />Trey Lee- (San Marcos) spoke in support of the project. He stated he feels this would be good <br />for San Marcos and the development of the east side of the City. <br />There being no further comments, the Public Hearing was closed at 6:20 p.m. <br />4. Question and answer session with press and public. <br />There were no questions. <br />5. Adiournment. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Terry, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to adjourn the regular session <br />of the San Marcos City Council at 6:22 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2010.
