Question and answer session with press and public. <br />Jaime Kilpatrick, San Marcos Daily Record, inquired where the City Manager position be <br />posted. <br />Kay Stroman, Stroman Group, Inc., stated the positions will be posted with Texas Municipal <br />League, Associates of City Managers, American Planners, Government Jobs, Monster.com, as <br />well as others. <br />Rob Roark inquired if the timeline for hiring the City Manager had changed. <br />Kay Stroman, Stroman Group, Inc. stated the timeline for hiring the City Manager is still the <br />same timeline. <br />Andy Sevilla, Newztream, inquired the length of time it usually take to hire a City Manager. <br />Kay Stroman, Stroman Group, Inc. stated the timeline for hiring a City Manager or a Chief <br />Executive Officer depends how aggressive you want to be. Hiring process can be done in 60 to <br />120 days. <br />7. Adiournment. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Thomason and a second by <br />Councilmember Terry, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to adjourn the <br />Special Meeting of the San Marcos City Council at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2010.
