(c) Exemptions. The following uses and activities shall be exempt from the <br />noise level regulations herein specified. <br />(1) Noises not directly under control of the property user. <br />(2) Noises emanating from construction and maintenance activities between <br />the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. (daytime hours). <br />(3) Noises of safety signals, warning devices and emergency pressure relief <br />valves. <br />(4) Transient noise of moving sources, such as automobiles, trucks, and <br />airplanes (see other City of San Marcos ordinances for regulation of <br />transient noise). <br />SECTION 10. Article 7, Lot Design and Improvement Standards, Division 2, Lots, <br />Section 6.7.2.1, Determination and Regulation of Size, subsection (b), is amended to read as <br />follows: <br />(b) Street Frontage Required. Each lot on a plat shall front onto a dedicated, <br />improved public street in accordance with this Code. In all cases, single- family <br />residential lots, except townhome lots, shall have a minimum of 35 feet of frontage, and <br />nonresidential lots shall have a minimum of 50 feet of frontage, along a dedicated, <br />improved street. <br />SECTION 11. Section 7.4.2.3, General Requirements for Sidewalks, is amended <br />to read as follows: <br />Section 7.4.2.3 General Requirements for Sidewalks <br />(a) Required in Subdivisions. Sidewalks are required in all subdivisions <br />except in residential areas where all lots are equal to or exceed one acre. <br />(b) Installation. Sidewalks shall be installed as follows: <br />(1) Sidewalks shall be located on the front of lots and along the street sides of <br />corner lots. <br />(2) Sidewalks shall be constructed in compliance with the width and location <br />requirements indicated in the TCSS. <br />(c) Requirements for Sidewalks in Existing Platted Subdivisions. Sidewalks <br />are required on all existing vacant lots, and on all lots on which any development or <br />redevelopment activities are planned, in accordance with subsection (b) above, and <br />construction of required sidewalks shall be completed prior to the issuance of a certificate <br />
