Violations declared nuisances: extraterritorial application. <br />(a) The following are declared public nuisances: <br />(1) The sale, possession, storage, discharge, or offer for sale of fireworks; or <br />(2) Any violation of this article which poses a serious danger to the safety of persons <br />or property. <br />(b) It is unlawful for a person to create or maintain a public nuisance, or to engage in any <br />activity that constitutes a public nuisance, within the city limits or within 5,000 feet of the <br />city limits. <br />Sec. 38.055. Motor vehicle parking. <br />It is unlawful for a person to store, park or stand a motor vehicle inside a residential unit, a <br />storage facility attached to a residential unit or a stairwell or under a stairway or a balcony, <br />on premises of a multifamily dwelling. <br />Sec. 38.056. Establishment of motor vehicle routes for transportation of hazardous <br />chemicals. <br />The U.S. Department of Transportation regulations referenced in Chapter 27 of the <br />International Fire Code shall be followed, except that tank vehicles transporting hazardous <br />chemicals to local businesses may take the shortest route to the business served. <br />Sec. 38.057. New materials, processes or occupancies which may require a permit. <br />The City Manager, the Fire Chief and the Fire Marshal may act as a committee to determine <br />and specify, after giving affected persons an opportunity to be heard, any new materials, <br />-18- <br />
