RESOLUTION NO. 2010- 154R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NOMINATING CANDIDATES FOR <br />APPOINTMENT TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS OR COMMITTEES <br />OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. It is in the interest and welfare of the citizens of the City of San Marcos, Texas, to have <br />direct representation before the National League of Cities through membership by City Council <br />Members on Committees or Board of Directors of the National League of Cities. <br />2. The City Council wishes to nominate persons to serve on the NLC Board of Directors or <br />on a 2011 NLC Committees of the National League of Cities. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The following City Council Members are nominated for appointment to the <br />following committees or Board of Directors of the National League of Cities: <br />Council Member <br />Committee <br />VP of Energy, Environment, and <br />Natural Resources <br />Kim Porterfield Council on Youth, Education, and <br />Families <br />PART 2. A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Texas Municipal League in <br />order that it be received on or before October 6, 2010. <br />Chris Jones <br />PART 3.
