• <br />RESOLUTION 2010 -178R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH T &D <br />SOLUTIONS FOR HIGHWAY AND STREET LIGHTING <br />MAINTENANCE SERVICES; RATIFYING THE PURCHASING <br />MANAGER'S EXECUTION OF THE APPROPRIATE PURCHASING <br />DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />1. On May 6, 2010, the City solicited sealed bids for highway and street lighting <br />maintenance services and received five bids. <br />2. City staff awarded an annual contract to T &D Solutions (the "Contractor ") <br />administratively in a not -to- exceed amount of $49,999.99 (the "Contract ") because at the time of <br />award the amount necessary was less than the amount triggering the need for City Council <br />approval. <br />• 3. City staff has now identified the need for a system -wide survey to identify street <br />lights in need of repair to include lighting throughout the city, along IH -35, and within the City's <br />electric distribution service territory. This survey will cause the contract to exceed the original <br />estimated not -to- exceed amount of $49,999.99. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The award of a contract to T &D Solutions for the provision of highway <br />and street lighting maintenance services is approved. <br />PART 2. The Purchasing Manager, Cheryl Pantermuehl's execution of the <br />appropriate purchasing documents on behalf of the City is ratified. <br />PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br />after its passage. <br />ADOPTED this the 16th day of November, 2010. <br />40 1 <br />
