C7 <br />RESOLUTION 2010 - 164R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT <br />APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS HISTORICAL COMMISSION FOR A <br />CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT GRANT FOR CONTINUED <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES RELATED TO THE REHABILITATION <br />OF THE CEPHAS HOUSE; CERTIFYING THAT THE CITY HAS <br />AVAILABLE $37,500.00 IN HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING TO <br />UTILIZE AS MATCHING FUNDS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO ACT ON THE CITY'S BEHALF WITH REGARD TO <br />THE SUBMISSION OF THIS GRANT APPLICATION AND THE <br />EXECUTION OF THE GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL OTHER <br />DOCUMENTS WITH THE TEXAS HISTORICAL COMMISSION AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. The City wishes to submit a grant application to the Texas Historical Commission <br />• for a Certified Local Government Fiscal Year 2011 Grant (the "Grant ") Program. <br />2. This Grant Program will enable the City to continue to provide the necessary <br />professional services related to the rehabilitation of the Cephas House. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The submission of an application for Texas Historical Commission Grant <br />funding for continued professional services in connection with rehabilitation of the Cephas <br />House Project is approved. <br />PART 2. The City certifies that it will match grant funding with $37,500.00 in <br />Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant Funding. <br />PART 3. The City Manager is authorized to act on the City's behalf with regard to <br />the submission of this grant application and the execution of the grant agreement and all other <br />documents with the Texas Historical Commission related to this Grant Program. <br />PART 4.
