MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Bose and a second by Councilmember • <br />Terry, the City Council voted five (5) for and none (0) opposed adoption of Ordinance 2010 -66 <br />on emergency. The motion carried. <br />4. Remarks from outgoing Mavor and Citv Council Members regarding their time in <br />office. <br />City Council Member Bose thanked wife, City Staff from directors to street crew. He also <br />thanked his fellow City Council Members for their hard work. Mayor Narvaiz read a speech <br />thanking everyone for allow her serve as Mayor of San Marcos (see attached speech)/ <br />5. Issue Certificate of Election to elected Mavor. Citv Council Member, Place 1. Citv <br />Council Member, Place 2, and Citv Council Member Place 6, and administer Oath of <br />Office. <br />Mayor Narvaiz issued Certificate of Election to City Council Member, Place 1, Kim Porterfield <br />and Judge Becky Sierra administered the Oath of Office. <br />Mayor Narvaiz issued Certificate of Election to City Council Member, Place 2, Jude Prather and <br />Val Vince Prather administered the Oath of Office. <br />Mayor Narvaiz issued Certificate of Election and administered the Oath of Office to City <br />Council Member, Place 6, Shane Scott. <br />Mayor Narvaiz issued Certificate of Election to Mayor, Daniel Guerrero and Dr. Thomas Secrest <br />administered the Oath of Office. • <br />6. Consider election of Mavor Pro Tempore and optional Deputy Mavor Pro Temaore. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion to appoint Ryan Thomason as Mayor Pro Tempore made by <br />Councilmember Porterfield and a second by Councilmember Prather, the City Council voted <br />seven (7) for and none (0) opposed. The motion carried. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion to appoint Chris Jones as Deputy Mayor Pro Tempore made by <br />Councilmember Terry and a second by Councilmember Thomason, the City Council voted seven <br />(7) for and none (0) opposed. Adiournment. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Terry and a second by Councilmember <br />Scott, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to adjourn the regular session <br />of the San Marcos City Council at 5:45 p.m. on Monday, November 15, 2010.
