Reconvene and Consider Action on Item Discussed During Executive Session. <br />The San Marcos City Council reconvened into regular session at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7, <br />2010. No action was required from Executive Session. <br />5. Invocation <br />Rev. Gary Smith from Christ the Redeemer provided the invocation. <br />6. Pledge of Allegiance <br />Mayor Daniel Guerrero led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />7. Citizen Comments <br />Betsy Robertson — Commented on Item 26; changing LDC to make it easier for renewable energy. <br />She stated that she would like to endorse this item, and believes that it is a great opportunity for our <br />citizens. She continued by saying that there is a possibility to look at step utility charges if the <br />Council were concerned about losing revenue. She highly encouraged Council to pass this in the <br />future. <br />Steve Harvey — Spoke on a new initiative for 5th graders. A game developed specifically for San <br />Marcos. This might be worthy of a proclamation. It was cooperation between SMCISD, Chamber, <br />and TxSt. Vera Kneed and Texas State Intern, Crystal Webb. Mr. Harvey also invited the public to <br />an Open San Marcos meeting on December 15th at 6PM at the San Marcos Library. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Consider approval of minutes: <br />A. Consider adoption on second and final reading of Ordinance 2010 -67 approving the <br />abandonment of the alleyway off of Wilson Street between 1133 West San Antonio Street and 117 <br />Wilson Street; approving the conveyance of this alleyway to the owner or owners of property <br />abutting the alleyway; authorizing the City Manager to execute one or more quitclaim deeds to <br />such abutting owners; declaring an effective date. <br />• 10.
