RESOLUTION 2011- 24 <br />• <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE EXTENSION OF AN ANNUAL <br />CONTRACT WITH MCCOY TREE SURGERY CO. FOR THE PROVISION <br />OF CITYWIDE TREE TRIMMING SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE <br />PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE <br />DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THIS CONTRACT EXTENSION ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS <br />1. On February 17, 2009 the City Council of the City of San Marcos approved an <br />annual contract with McCoy Tree Surgery Co. for the provision of citywide tree trimming services <br />(the "Contract "). <br />2. The original bid (I1713- 209 -019) provided the City with the option to renew the <br />contract for four (4) additional one -year terms. <br />3. The parties agreed to the first extension of the agreement on February 16, 2010 and <br />wish to extend the Contract for an additional one -year term. <br />• BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The second extension of the Contract with McCoy Tree Surgery Co. for the <br />provision of citywide tree trimming services is approved. <br />PART 2. The Purchasing Manager, Cheryl Pantermuehl, is authorized to execute <br />appropriate documents related to this contract extension on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3.
