<br />SAN MARCOS ELECTRIC UTILITY <br />ELECTRIC RATE SCHEDULES <br /> <br />SUPPLEMENTAL ELECTRIC SERVICE <br />Rate Schedule - COG <br /> <br />Effective: February 11th, 2002 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Energy Charge: The applicable LCRA rate multiplied by the total kWh purchased by the City during the current <br />Billing Month. <br /> <br />Fuel Charge: The applicable LCRA rate multiplied by the total kWh purchased by the City during the current <br />Billing Month. <br /> <br />MONTHLY RATE <br />The following rates are applicable to service under this rate schedule. <br /> <br />Availability Charge: $270,000.00 per year billed monthly at $22,500.00 <br /> <br />Energy Rate per Billing kWh: The sum of the applicable LCRA rates per kWh used to calculate the Energy <br />Charge and Fuel Charge for the current Billing Month. <br /> <br />Demand Rate per Billing CP kW: The applicable LCRA rate per kW used to calculate the Capacity Demand <br />Charge for the current Billing Month. <br /> <br />Demand Rate per Billing NCP kW: The applicable LCRA rate per kW used to calculate the Delivery System <br />Demand Charge for the current Billing Month. <br /> <br />THER CHARGES <br /> <br />The amount computed at the Monthly Rate shall be subject to taxes, assessments or surcharges imposed by any <br />governmental authority when such are assessed on the basis of revenues from electric service or volume of electricity <br />purchased or sold. <br /> <br />MINIMUM CHARGE <br /> <br />The monthly minimum charge shall be the Availability Charge and all applicable Other Charges. <br /> <br />DETERMINATION OF BILLING UNITS <br /> <br />The Customer billing units for the Billing Month will be determined from meter readings taken, to the extent possible and <br />practical, on the same date the City's major bulk power supplier reads the meters for establishing the City's monthly <br />wholesale power bills. <br /> <br />Loss Factor: 1.010 applied to Customer's metered kWh and kW to account for the losses incurred on the City <br />System in delivering electric power and energy to Customer under this rate schedule. <br /> <br />Billing kWh: The metered kWh at Customer delivery point during the current Billing Month, multiplied by the Loss <br />Factor. <br /> <br />CP Demand Billing kW: The metered kW demand at Customer delivery point during the clock hour of the LCRA <br />system peak demand during the current Billing Month, multiplied by the Loss Factor. <br /> <br />NCP Demand Billing kW: The metered or calculated kW demand contribution at the Customer delivery point to <br />the City System peak used by LCRA to calculate the Delivery System Demand Charge for the current Billing <br />Month, multiplied by the Loss Factor. <br /> <br />C:\TEMP\Electric Utility tariffs.doc <br />
