<br />SAN MARCOS ELECTRIC UTILITY <br />ELECTRIC RATE SCHEDULES <br />STREET LIGHTING & TRAFFIC SIGNAL SERVICE <br />Rate Schedule - SL <br /> <br />Effective: February 11th, 2002 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />MINIMUM CHARGE <br /> <br />The monthly minimum charge shall be the sum of the CUSTOMER CHARGE and all applicable rate adjustments. <br /> <br />PAYMENT <br /> <br />The due dates, penalty dates, and disconnection dates for bills shall be linked to the Customers' billing cycles in <br />accordance with the following table of dates for each cycle: <br /> <br />Cycle # Billing Date First Due Date Penalty Date Disconnection Date <br />Cycle 1 16m 151 of following month 5'" of following month 14m of following month <br />Cycle 2 24m gm of following month 13m of following month 2151 of following month <br />Cycle 3 15 16m 20m 28'" <br />Cycle 4 Sm 23ra 27'" 4 '" of following month <br /> <br />lY and all amounts not paid before the penalty date shall be assessed a charge in the amount of 10% of the unpaid <br />nount. <br /> <br />Payments from state agencies must be received within 30 days from receipt of bill, and any unpaid amount will be subject <br />to a 1.0% per month interest charge following the procedures set forth in the Prompt Payment Act. <br /> <br />SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br /> <br />The City will furnish and operate all street lighting facilities required for service under this Schedule SL. Service to locations <br />where City System poles and facilities are not available will be made at the discretion of the City and at an additional <br />charge to the Customer to cover the costs, including appropriate overheads, of additional poles, conductors, other facilities <br />and increased maintenance expenses. The cost of maintaining and repairing any equipment necessary for street lighting <br />service under this Schedule SL shall be billed to the Customer at cost, including appropriate overheads. The City shall, at <br />the request of the Customer, relocate or change existing equipment and the Customer shall reimburse the City for any and <br />all such relocations or changes at actual cost including appropriate overheads. <br /> <br />INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE <br /> <br />The City will make reasonable provIsions to ensure satisfactory and continuous service, but does not guarantee a <br />continuous supply of electric power and energy from the City System facilities and shall not be liable for damage <br />occasioned by interruptions of service or failure to commence delivery caused by acts of God, or the public enemy, or for <br />any cause reasonably beyond the control of the City, including, but not limited to, the failure or breakdown of facilities, <br />floods, fire, strikes, or actions or orders of any agency having jurisdiction in the premises, or for interruptions which are <br />necessary for inspection, repair, or changes in the equipment and facilities of the City, the City System or the bulk power <br />supplier(s) to the City System. The Customer shall notify the City immediately of any defect, trouble or accident which may <br />any way affect the delivery of electric service by the City from the City System. <br /> <br />C:\TEMP\Electric Utility tariffs.doc <br />
