include the interests of the owner of the property, the contractor, and all subcontractors in <br />The property insurance will be endorsed to permit utilization and /or occupancy (as <br />applicable) prior to completion of construction and prior to acceptance by the owner or <br />authorized lessee of the property. <br />All of this insurance will be written so that the HCWC and the City will be notified in writing at <br />least 30 calendar days in advance in the event of cancellation, restrictive amendment or non - <br />renewal. <br />The HCWC will submit certificates of insurance to the City for approval prior to the <br />commencement of work by any contractor. <br />The contractor will obtain a certificate from each subcontractor verifying workers' compensation <br />coverage for all employees of the subcontractor, and HCWC will file the certificate with the City <br />before commencement of work by the subcontractor. <br />All insurance except for workers' compensation coverage will be written with the City of <br />San Marcos, Texas as an additional insured and will be endorsed to provide a waiver of the <br />carrier's right of subrogation against the City. <br />It is understood that the HCWC may enter into contracts with contractors before such contractors <br />procure the bonds and insurance identified above provided that work shall not begin on the <br />Project and no Funds will be paid by the City until such bonds and insurance are procured. <br />12 <br />
