JOHNSON DRIVE AND 918 <br />CHESTNUT STREET; AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING <br />MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING THIS TRACT FROM "R- <br />1" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT TO "MF-12" <br />MULTIPLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />PENALTIES. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On February 8, 2005, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos <br />held a public hearing regarding a request to change the Future Land Use Map of the San Marcos <br />Horizons City Master Plan from Low Density Residential to High Density Residential, and a <br />concurrent request to change the zoning from "R-l" Single-Family Dwelling District to "MF-12" <br />Multiple-Family Residential District, for a 0.72 acre tract, more or less, of land located at 917 <br />North Lyndon B. Johnson Drive and 918 Chestnut Street. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />considered and voted to approve the requests on February 8, 2005, and recommended that the <br />requests be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on April 5. 2005 <br />requests. <br /> <br />regarding the <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 1, Development Procedures, of the City Land <br />Development Code pertaining to Future Land Use Map Amendments and Zoning Map <br />amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Future Land Use Plan of the San Marcos Horizons City Master Plan is <br />revised to change the future land use designation for the following real property from Low <br />Density Residential to High Density Residential: <br /> <br />Street address: 91 7 North Lyndon B . Johnson Drive and 918 Chestnut Street. <br />
