On February 22, 2005, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San <br />Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the Future Land Use Map of the San <br />Marcos Horizons City Master Plan from Commercial, Industrial and Open Space to <br />Commercial, and a concurrent request to change the zoning from "PD" Pre-Development District <br />and unzoned to "GC" General Commercial District, for a 203.55 acre, more or less, tract ofland <br />located in the 1000-1400 Blocks of McCarty Lane. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing 011 that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />considered and voted to approve the requests on February 22, 2005, and recommended that the <br />requests be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on April 5, 2005 <br />requests. <br /> <br />regarding the <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 1, Development Procedures, of the City Land <br />Development Code pertaining to Future Land Use Map Amendments and Zoning Map <br />amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Future Land Use Plan of the San Marcos Horizons City Master Plan is <br />revised to change the future land use designation for the following real property from <br />Commercial, Industrial, and Open Space to Commercial: <br /> <br />Street address: 1000-1400 Blocks of McCarty Lane. <br />
