<br />by the City. <br /> <br />1.7.23 Prior to the end of the one year warranty period, review the completed Project with the <br />City and the Contractor and have all deficient items corrected. The extent of the duties, <br />responsibilities and limitations of authority of the Engineer as the City's representative during <br />construction will not be modified or extended after the construction contract documents have <br />been authorized by the City to be competitively bid without written consent of the City and the <br />Engineer and with notice to the Contractor. <br /> <br />1.8 ADDITIONAL SERVICES/CHANGE IN SERVICES <br /> <br />1.8.1 The City may direct the Engineer to perform services outside of the scope of the Basic <br />Services described in Sections 1.1 through 1.7 above. The Engineer will submit a written <br />estimate of fees to the City and obtain the City's authorization before initiating any additional <br />servIces <br /> <br />1.8.2 Each material change (deletion or addition) in the services to be provided by Engineer <br />must be authorized by the City on the Authorization of Change in Services form attached to this <br />Agreement as Attachment A. Compensation for additional services will be in addition to that <br />specified for Basic Services in accordance with Section 5.2 of this Agreement. The approval of <br />the City's governing body is necessary for all additional services the compensation for which <br />exceeds $25,000. <br /> <br />1.8.3 The following items are not considered part of the Basic Services and are specifically <br />acknowledged as constituting additional services: <br /> <br />a) Environmental contamination assessments and remediation; <br />b) Work required to complete Section 404 and threatened/endangered species <br />permitting beyond that necessary for completion of a nationwide permit. <br />c) Document preparation for easements beyond that required for a single preparation <br />for a single parcel, subject to minor revisions apparent upon review by the <br />grantor. <br />d) Work performed by the Engineer which is necessary to procure right-of-entry <br />for survey crews. <br />e) Additional analysis of conceptual pipeline planning, design, and points of <br />connection beyond that specified in the City' s Water Master Plan. <br />t) Additional on-site representation and inspection required to supplement the <br />responsibilities of the City. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 2 <br />THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />The City will: <br /> <br />10 <br />
