<br />64. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2005 - 45 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br />CONSOLIDATED PLAN FOR FISCAL YEARS 2005-2009; AUTHORIZING <br />THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT AS THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF <br />THE CITY IN MATTERS RELATED TO THE GRANT PROGRAM AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. As part of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") <br />Community Development Block Grant Program ("CDBG") the City is required to approve <br />a Consolidated Plan (the "Plan") for the City for fiscal years 2005-2009. <br /> <br />2. In compliance with HUD regulations, a thirty day citizen comment period was <br />held beginning February 28,2005 and concluding March 30, 2005. <br /> <br />3. The City Council, having held a public hearing on the Plan in order to receive <br />and consider citizen comments, wishes to approve the Plan for fiscal years 2005-2009. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The adoption and publication of the Consolidated Plan for fiscal years <br />2005-2009 is approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is designated as the official <br />representative of the City and is authorized to act in all matters related to the submission <br />of the Consolidated Plan, all understandings and assurances contained in the <br />Consolidated Plan and to provide additional information as required on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 3. <br />passage. <br /> <br />This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the 5th <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />April <br /> <br />,2005. <br /> <br />~a~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br />
